St. John’s High School | Hyperlift
Our pod design/construction heavily focuses on integrating safety with innovation. We have designed a 20:1 centrifugal-axial compressor along with an intercooling system to create air bearings to lift and steer our aerodynamic pod. Also, through the use of myriad sensors, we ensure the safety of our pod.
Conant High School (Hoffman Estates, Ill) | Conant Hyperloop Club
Conant Hyperloop Club is a high school team from the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, focusing on the safety/practicality issues the Hyperloop system faces as a whole. The main points we intend to elaborate on are the wildlife prevention/suppression, earthquake damage preparedness/suppression, passenger health/safety, and energy.

HyperEagles pod levitates using Arx Pax motors, four motors are gimbaled control lateral and yaw pitch. After acceleration, Pod decelerates by applying Air Brakes, I beam Brake, and Wheels (used when pod depowered). Pod powered by same batteries as Tesla S. Dimensions: 14ft x 3.7ft x 3.7ft.
